Health Care Provider CPR Classes – BLS
Chesapeake AED Services is a certified training facility for the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider course, offering emergency cardiovascular care programs (ECC) to health care providers, workplace and community-based rescuers throughout Maryland. Our courses follow the latest guidelines and offer same-day American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
This course is for health care providers (EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists and general care providers) who are required to have credentials displaying successful completion of a CPR course.
The BLS Health Care Provider CPR Course provides many of today’s healthcare professionals the ability to determine life-threatening emergencies, utilize CPR and relieve choking in a safe and effective manner. Training covers topics such as pediatric and adult CPR, including 2-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask, foreign-body airway obstruction, use of automated external defibrillation (AED) with CPR.

Courses for Health Care Providers New Certification or Renewal
- The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Renewal classroom course is designed to provide a wide variety of health care professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
- First Aid for Health Care Providers can be completed through the Heartsaver First Aid only class. Course is available for healthcare card providers that need first aid certification.
